Let me start with the exciting Facebook competition that we are running right now.

You could be in with the chance of winning a mystery prize on Facebook everyday up until Christmas Eve. All you have to do is go onto the TARGETjobs Facebook page watch the daily video and enter both your answer and details into the 24 Days of Christmas app.

Now, onto our careers advice.

If you are looking for a graduate job, look no further. Join the great Christmas job hunt! Here are next week's deadlines.

If you are seeking work experience take a look at our article 'Internships with big graduate recruiters' for top tips and internship opportunities.

Investment banking and investment
Applications are still being accepted for graduate roles and internships at investment banks and investment management firms. Have you completed and submitted yours? If not, spend a few minutes reading TARGETjobs Finance’s guidance on online application forms to ensure you do a good job and are progressed to the next stage.

Financial services and insurance

Some graduates chase a career in investment banking and investment over one in financial services and insurance because they believe the former offers a better remuneration package. But entry-level retail banking, actuarial and insurance roles also offer generous first-year salaries – and benefits. Find out more about what salary you can expect.

Law

As law firm’s vacation scheme application closing dates come and go, be sure to consider open days as another way to research your legal career options and show your commitment to a career in law. We explain why they are not the poor relation to vac schemes.
